Wow, if it is in fact that good, that’s a pleasant srsirpue. I too was really unimpressed when we both saw the trailer during Toronto After Dark. The concept almost seemed like some parody, like the Airplane films.But, if it was well done, then I credit them, as they have done what so many other horror’ films fail to do deal with a subject that the audience can actually relate to (hence, participate in more), and even more importantly, affect the audience AFTER the film (with a fear of something in the real world, much as Jaws did for water).It’s hard for me to admit it, but this film about the potentially silly concept of being stuck on a ski lift probably succeeds in being a true horror film (in my mind) than all these formulaic, blue-tinted, jump scare’ movies that flood the genre, and truly have nothing horrifying in them, with absolutely no lasting results. A horror film, in my mind, is one that changes you (even if it just causes you to be a bit hesitant about something in real life, or if it plants an image/sequence in your head that disturbs you after the film has ended) . not a film that merely makes you jump a few times with startle scares, but leaves you unaffected once the credits roll.It’s also kind of cool to see a trend of simple concept, complex outcome’ happening lately (another example being Burried).Hrmmm . Buried, Frozen Is there a trend of title types now?BTW, watch for my upcoming films . Burnt, Stabbed, and my personal favorite, Squished.
YES! We have had so many unexpected costs. Dryrot, segawe ejection pump (don’t ask) replacement, water under the house, water pouring out of our hill and it goes on and on. We had a chunk of money set aside for decor and upgrades that quickly got eaten up by repairs. You are definitely not the only ones!
